A Biblical Understanding and Application of the Word of God becomes very critical in the marketplace of Gospel work, where everyone wants their understanding about the Kingdom of God and their voices to be heard.

This workshop will help identify the needs assessment, ownership, responsibilities and elements of effective vision development within a camp ministry organization. However, just birthing a new vision is not enough - a documented framework for short, medium and long term execution must accompany vision planning. Come prepared to engage in a hands on process of developing a vision and then building a framework for execution.

Bridging the Gap Between Church and Camp
------------------------------------
Churches and Camps are often seen as competing organizations, competing for the same resources, striving to engage the same donors and duplicating ministry. Churches and Camps are not in competition with each other. Both have an important role to play in leading people to faith and helping their relationship with Christ to grow. Churches and camps are unique parts of the family of God. When churches and camps work together in harmony our ministry effectiveness grows.

Transforming Culture - Engaging Faithfully with the Issues of the Day
------------------------------------
The world around us is rapidly changing. Culture is increasingly hostile to Christian values and in particular, Western cultural values are spreading worldwide through increasing connectivity. How do we remain faithful to Christ as the culture around us pushes back under the guise of inclusivity and love? This workshop will look at how Muskoka Bible Centre thoughtfully engaged with over 1500 participants in the summer of 2022 to teach and model faithfulness in a broken generation. As a bonus, we'll talk about how we turned our discussions into a podcast to create "evergreen" content for distribution.

Are you finding it hard to develop new leaders for your campa, congregations, ministries, and organizations you serve? If you’re someone who thinks that leaders can be formed through training courses, you’re in for a surprise!
Informed by research Lisa did in the majority world (Latin America), she suggests four specific ways you can co-participate with God to help leaders emerge and grow:

*Create developmental experiences
*Promote self-leadership from the start of their journey
The workshop will be participative and include personal and team reflection exercises you can use to guide you on your leadership journey and help you to make concrete action plans.
Listen to the voices of a selected group of Latin American leaders share how they emerged and grew. You will learn from their stories.

Discipling with Christ-Like Values
------------------------------------
Values are powerful. They are the behaviours that we act out, which are based on our belief of what is important. Using values alongside experiential learning is the most effective learning technique I have seen in over 30 years of education experience. It can modify behaviour and integrate new thought patterns in a short amount of time due to the depth of intervention that values based debriefing can offer.
Whether you are developing yourself, emerging leaders or the next class of campers, Using Christ-like Values allows you to share the gospel in practical ways, especially in an environment where saying the name of Jesus is frowned upon or illegal. This just might be the tool that we all need to master to allow faith based growth in every camper whether they know Jesus personally yet or not.

Mission Drift
------------------------------------
Organisational mission drift is pervasive: If you do nothing, it will happen! In this workshop participants will explore the sources of mission drift and learn strategies for how to protect against them. Approaching the topic from an overt faith perspective, you will consider your own ministry context. You will have an opportunity to identify and discuss areas of potential vulnerability and we will collaborate on ways to stay on mission.
Please bring your organisation’s vision and values documents, strategic plan, and a copy of your constitution. If you don’t have these documents, still come along - we’ll make it work!
